Research Trajectories #1

The following series of entries, Research Trajectories, will highlight examples of emerging research stemming from our SSHRC research project. One of the key objectives of our project is to retrace the historical and geographical connections between British North America, Bermuda, and the West Indies in the nineteenth century.

Recently, team members Andrew Smith and Kirsten Greer published a piece on the links between British North America and the Caribbean by examining the 1866 British North American Trade Mission to the West Indies and Brazil, and ideas of Canadian identity prior to Confederation in 1867.
